Meet Joseph L Ricks.
One Church, Two Locations: Victory Church in Jesus Christ Cathedral Outreach Center and In Jesus Christ Church of Lakeland, Florida, stand united as a single family with a global mission. From our home base in Staten Island, New York, to our extension in Lakeland, Florida, we are one church driven by the same passion: to rescue broken lives, teach God’s people victory, and reach the lost. Rooted in nearly 35 years of faithful ministry, we serve both our local communities and the world, spreading God’s love through outreach, healing, and practical service. Together, we are a powerful testament that God is moving in multiple places, with one purpose, one vision, and one church family.
Victory Church In Jesus Christ Cathedral World Outreach center was birthed in January of 1990 from a prayer service in then Minister Rick’s house on Staten Island New York. What started as an evening of fellowship with then Minister Ricks, his wife, then sister Melisa, her sister and her cousin home from attending church earlier that day. A heavy burden to pray came upon all of them to pray at the same time which lasted for hours. None of them knew that three years prior Minister Ricks was praying in Church on prayer night and God had given him a vision of hundreds of saints dressed in white praising, worshipping and calling mightily calling on the name of the Lord with great power and sincerity. In this vision the Lord showed Minister Ricks the word “ESTABLISH” in big bold letters over it and he knew in his heart that many prophecies over his life had now come to pass. It was God’s perfect time to establish the ministry God had shown him in the vision. As he left the prayer service excited on his way to work that day he asked the Lord “What will we call the church, and the Lord said “Look Up! what’s the name of the street that your walking on?’ As he looked up he was walking on Victory boulevard. And the Lord said to him, “That’s the name of the Church “Victory Church In Jesus Christ!” And the Church was birthed on Martin Luther King Jr. day 1990.

Victory Church in Jesus Christ Cathedral World Outreach Center, located in Staten Island, New York, is a vibrant, non-denominational community of faith with a mission to rescue broken lives and equip God’s people for victory, while passionately reaching the lost. Since its founding in 1990, the church has been a beacon of hope and service. Over the decades, Victory Church has fed the hungry, clothed the homeless, and poured out blessings on marriages, men, women, children, and youth. Through countless community outreach programs, they have touched thousands of lives, embodying love, faith, and service to their Staten Island community and beyond.
In 1862, at the encouragement of their brothers and sisters at Potosi (Mount Zion) Church, the Christ Evangelical Association Congregation set upon the building of a house of worship. In 1862, at the encouragement of their brothers and sisters at Potosi (Mount Zion) Church, the Christ Evangelical.
In the spirit of love, hospitality and social justice, we serve the people of the greater Cypress area. We believe that through
the faith we share, we become family to one another in Jesus.

In Jesus Christ Church of Lakeland, Florida, stands as a powerful extension of Victory Church in Jesus Christ Cathedral in Staten Island, New York. Sent by God to Lakeland, this church is a beacon of hope for a remnant of souls seeking shelter, protection, and the abundant blessings of the Lord. With the same mission as Victory Church in New York, this Lakeland congregation is dedicated to bringing God’s salvation and healing to the community. As part of a larger family, In Jesus Christ Church in Lakeland carries forward the legacy of faith, outreach, and transforming lives, bridging New York roots with a fresh flame of revival in Florida.
